7/13, 1:27 PM [phone number 4] : Yup, about to now, now when SBF?(vii)
    7/13, 1:39 PM Robinson Dorion : [ http://trilema.com/2015/theres-a-one-bitcoin-reward-for-the-death-of-pieter-wuille-details-below/ ][wen sipa] ?(viii)
    7/13, 1:40 PM [phone number 4] Wow, that's crazy(ix)
    7/13, 1:41 PM [phone number 2] : Lets go(x)
7/13, 1:56 PM Robinson Dorion : well, _bitcoin is war_ and the undeclared enemies are the most dangerous. as anyone who has studied kindergarten level p2p can explain, sybil attacks and social engineering are the greatest security threats.
7/13, 1:57 PM Robinson Dorion : compare how the fiat companies leeching off bitcoin interact w/ their fiat brethren to how actual bitcoin companies interact.
7/13, 1:59 PM Robinson Dorion : "There is nothing new in the world. Except for the history you didn't know."
7/13, 2:32 PM Robinson Dorion : historical examples of the sybil in action : http://trilema.com/2015/these-fools-have-been-handed-a-technology-so-clever-so-disruptive-and-revolutionary-that-the-rulers-of-the-world-would-have-to-fully-unmask-themselves-as-ruthless-tyrants-in-order-to-suppress-it/ and http://trilema.com/2015/on-how-the-factored-4096-rsa-keys-story-was-handled-and-what-it-means-to-you/
7/13, 3:00 PM Robinson Dorion : so do yourself and favor and meditate on whether you're actually a bitcoiner or merely "Iti minca cinii din straita" ?
    7/13, 3:06 PM [phone number 5] : That's a lot of links(xi)
7/13, 3:29 PM Robinson Dorion : the blockchain isn't getting any smaller, is it ?
    7/13, 3:32 PM [phone number 2] : The blockchain!!!!!
7/13, 3:35 PM [phone number 5] : You mean the timechain?
7/13, 3:50 PM Robinson Dorion: isn't it telling the pompous fuckfaces circle jerking around the usg.microshit.shithub repo mislabeled "bitcoin" cite political time for their code changes ? if they were truly about Bitcoin, wouldn't they use blockheight ? like so.

  7. Call with client about referring him for a fiat deal, waited around because it turns out he didn't see confirmation and invite ; 15 mins
  8. e2 chat, run idea of presenting on Eulora2 chat by Diana Coman ; 5 mins
  9. Meet with a potential hosting provider and tour facility ; 45 mins
  10. Errands at bank and pharmacy ; 30 mins
  11. Go to monthly meeting w/ friend at a cafe nearby, he napped through it, but I got some admin work done ; 90 mins
  12. Call w/ client about various irons in the fire ; 25 mins
  13. Swamp correspondence, 90 mins, spread out(xii)

I was lazy in the evening, not sure why, need to reflect but moreover just be more conscious and present and better.

Total : 8 hours, 15 mins.

  1. Meaning yesterday because I didn't keep the best track in the moment and then went to bed w/o hammering it out. "Better late than pregnant", but late isn't going to cut it really. [^]
  2. Ordered some blood work, but otherwise clean report. [^]
  3. They call it Witness, but unclear what they're actually witnessing. I'm the only one there with a blog afaik ; sstacks is in there, so at least I'm not the only one with a node that's not a USGtronic sybil. I call it titness because afaik they've not grown up past sucking off the tit to actually contribute. [^]
  4. They don't have online identities they own and I'm not going to pretend they do. [^]
  5. Something about some ponzi operator getting arrested. [^]
  6. Panama's country code is +507, a middle class amount of phone number, y'know ? If not, here :
pankkake: "I'm thinking of selling 10,000 ActM shares for 0.0019 and buying LC @ 0.0007 for 27,142 shares."
    kakobrekla: well yes
mircea_popescu: it's always a good idea to announce one's trades in advance.
    kakobrekla: more shares is better
    pankkake: lol
jborkl: people are so math impaired anyway- you throw a extra variable in there - like bitcoin is really screws them up
mircea_popescu: no no, more shares IS better.
mircea_popescu: because there's more of them. like if you had a phone number right ?
mircea_popescu: it'd be better to have two.
pankkake: when in reality it's better to have more numbers in your phone number
pankkake: if I understand your analogy
    mircea_popescu: hey pankkake
kakobrekla: no, the phone no should start with a high value such as 9 or 8
mircea_popescu: i know you like numbers in your shares so i've put more phones in your phone number.
jborkl: 10% gain on more cheap shares is better than 10% gain on more expensive right?
mircea_popescu: jborkl depends if they have a logo.
    jborkl: oh yeah my bad
mircea_popescu: like a good one. like with a handshake or something
pankkake: shit, my phone number starts with 01, I'm so poor
jborkl: IP on a good logo is what like a million or so
    jurov: amazing logo
    assbot: AMAZING COMPANY!
mircea_popescu: plus also shares sometimes split.
kakobrekla: yeah pankkake thats a low amount of phone number
    mircea_popescu: ahahaha

  7. A modern Pirate/Zhoutonged/Karpeles. [^]
  8. I used the square bracket notation below, but converted it to html here because... if I want to reread these or reference in the future, better to have it easier to read. Aun no se si vale la pena. From the JWRD forum on why I use the square brackets in the swamps :

jfw: dorion: hey thanks for venturing forth. you know the square bracketed link notation is of republican provenance though? (phf specifically.) Like citation quoting and selection linking and basically all the nice things it dun do much in the barren surroundings
    dorion: jfw, yeah, I know.
jfw: it's rare enough to even have public logs (and observe those folks don't evidently find it important enough to run their own, seem to be using whatever public toilet was convenient)
jfw: but boy does it optimize those github links all nice and tidy!
dorion: my approach right now is to use the forms of expression I recognize as superior and see who says what.
jfw: I can see that approach; though I wonder at what point it's more like talking latin to the locals (...Romanian to the Anglos?)
dorion: jfw, that i don't know.

And in sidebar that day :

diana_coman: [http://fixpoint.welshcomputing.com/2020/jwrd-logs-for-Dec-2020/#979][dorion: my approach right now is to use the forms of expression I recognize as superior and see who says what.] - this is right on target (in other words: smart).
diana_coman: there is no downside in using the best and moreover, it has the benefit that dorion points out there with the "see who says what" - the reaction (either way) is revealing.
dorion: diana_coman, ack on the communication approach. thanks.

  9. Replying to me, apparently he's friends w/ sipa, but perhaps it's the first time he comes to realize he's "friends" with a ghost. heh. [^]
  10. Replying to me. Though he works for a softfork coin company so unclear he understands what the link means... did he submit his resignation today ? [^]
  11. Probably his way of signaling he's not going to read any of it. [^]
  12. I need to do a better job to batching the swamp correspondence, as she advised me... ~20 months ago :

dorion: I'm in a "crypto" telegram channel our "alt coin trader" clients have. follow some links there. I'm also have a whatsapp I use via browser because it's really the only place panamenyos talk. whatsapp is WAY more noise, %50 emojis/memes, but it how I've learned about most of the "crypto" events since I've been back.
diana_coman: ok, but if you have to go to the swamps, it makes sense to at least plan to squeeze them better than that because otherwise it's way more likely they'll just swamp you instead, as there's no limit to their noise production while there is a very hard limit to your time and energy
    diana_coman: hm
dorion: diana_coman, I don't reckon anyone'd be bothered much to honeypot them either.
dorion: diana_coman I do share jwrd things there and sometimes try to correct them, e.g. segwit isn't bitcoin, but not clear how much/if at all it's taking.
diana_coman: in well-known soviet-style, the way that sort of honeypot works is that they are doing the very useful service of "rezistenta prin cultura", quite equivalent so yeah, they might even get "support", lolz
diana_coman: dorion: sharing & correcting is all certainly good and fine but you are only one and they have infinite hitpoints, that's the trouble

Being more aware of it, e.g. writing these work reports is a step, but not enough, need to keep moving and improving on it and being less retarded. [^]
