The camera batteries (Battery Lives Matter (tm)(r)) ran out of juice about half way through. Fortunately we had an independent audio recording going ; the video part of the latter half is just the slides. Plus, I did a screen recording the next day to show the IRC demo for viewers at home.

Slides from prior presentations included quite a few citations. This deck is light on the citations, but the relevant articles I published beforehand on Signal and IRC are heavily cited.

The date for the next Junto is Wednesday, September 20th. We're going to start happy hour at 7pm to give people more time to arrive. The presentation will thus start around 8pm. The working title is :

Picking the lock to your digital, Silly Con Valley provisioned cage and getting started owning your computer is easier than you think.

Which is a bit of a mouthful, but leaves an impression, wouldn't you say ?
